Natty kommt aus San Francsico und ist in der Szene kein Unbekannter mehr. Seinen Erfolg feiert er jetzt, 10 Jahre nachdem sein Debüt herauskam, mit einer Sonderausgabe seines ersten Albums und es ist nicht nur eine einfache, langweilige Neuauflage, sondern die Tracks wurden neu eingespielt und könnten hier und da etwas anders klingen. Natty macht Musik aus Liebe und nicht um den nächsten Sommerhit zu landen.
Man Like I & I X ist nicht nur irgendeine neue, weitere Reggae-Platte, sondern ein ausgesprochen gutes Stück Musik von einem Künstler mit einer sehr angenehmen Stimme.
Das 2008 sehr erfolgreiche Album ‚Man Like I‘ erschien damals noch in Zusammenarbeit mit Warner Music und ging unter anderem in Japan auf Platz 1 und erreichte die Top 20 in den UK-Charts. Ab 2012 ging Natty dann seinen eigenen Weg, trennte sich vom Major und veröffentlichte selber über sein Indy-Label ‚Vibes & Pressure‘.

Celebrating 10 years since the release of his debut, and much acclaimed Top 20 album ‘MAN LIKE I’, his label Vibes & Pressure proudly presents a special anniversary album featuring some brand new re-workings from the album (with some very special guest features) plus four brand new tracks. Entitled ‘Man Like I & I X’ (out October 19th 2018) and released via Bob Marley’s legendary label Tuff Gong in Jamaica, a limited edition double-vinyl collectors package will also be available, containing both the original album in full plus the new tracks and re-workings (with a digital and CD version containing solely the new songs and re-works). Natty has announced this on Pledge (the original fan based crowd funding site); where fans can pre-order the album with various special packages. The album and tour as a whole is a tribute to the love and support that has grown over the past decade and continues today, as he explains: “Man Like I meant a lot to a lot of people. In essence, this project is tribute to them!”

Die erste Single ist der Song ‚Badman‘ welcher bereits auf dem erfolgreichen „Man Like I“ Langspieler zu finden war. In der vorliegenden Version aus dem Jahr 2018 holt sich Natty jedoch mit Benjamin Zephaniah eines der prominentesten Gesichter der Englischen Rasta Bewegung als Verstärkung mit ins Boot.
Dieser steuert einen interessanten Spoken Word Part bei der dem Song weitere Energie und Nachdruck verleiht. Man merkt also, das neue Album lohnt sich genau so, wie der damalige Langspieler.
